Board and train

Book stays, see your free nights at a glance, and keep a daily log for owners.

Training → Board and train shows the dogs staying with you, the nights you have free, and your kennels. It has three tabs.

  • Stays: current and upcoming stays, with dates, kennel and status.
  • Availability: four weeks of nights at a glance, with how many places are free each night. Use the arrows to move between weeks.
  • Kennels: your kennels, their size, how many dogs each takes a night, and whether dogs can share.

Book a stay

On Stays, choose New stay, or pick a free night on Availability. Choose the dog, the type of stay (Board and train or Boarding) and the dates, and a kennel if you know it. Dogs without a kennel show under Staying without a kennel.

A stay moves from Requested to Confirmed, Checked in and Checked out.

Stays owners can request

Stays you offer, at the top of the Stays tab, sets what owners can request in Handlr. Your nightly prices are under Stay prices in Money → Billing → Payments. Requests from owners show in Messages and as Requested stays, ready to accept and book.

During the stay

Open a stay to see:

  • Intake: belongings, feeding, medication, daily routine, behaviour to know about, training goals, an emergency contact, and whether the dog is happy to share a kennel. The owner can fill this in from Handlr before arrival.
  • Daily log: how the day went, feeding, toileting and medication given. Owners see it in Handlr.
  • Go-home report: how the stay went, what the dog achieved and how to keep it up at home. Save a draft as you go, then Send report at collection. Download PDF gives you the report in your branding to print or hand over.

Board and train dogs keep their programme and grades, so their progress shows on Dogs like any other dog.
